We are pleased to announce that Daleen Roodt, an internationally acclaimed artist will host a three day workshop here at Afri Orchids from 26 - 28 June.

Daleen has the ability to capture the essence of many of our South African indigenous orchids together with their pollinators. She received an RHS Gold Medal and was awarded Best Artwork on Show at the RHS Botanical Art Show at the Royal Horticultural Society in London in 2024.  She has an exceptional ability to capture not only the subject but also much of the vegetation, insects and surroundings of it.  Her attention to details enables her to create breathtaking paintings.

You have the opportunity to immerse yourself in three days of creativity, as this renowned botanical artist guides you through the process of exploring the mystical beauty of orchids. Learn how to understand the structure of your orchid, with techniques to ease the process of drawing, painting and giving unique expression to your artistic vision. 

Cost: R2800 per person, including tea and lunch at the Afri Orchids Tea Garden.
