We are so excited to announce a brand new event on the Afri Orchid's calendar starting 9 March.  We are planning to auction some exclusive plants every Monday at 20:00.  This will be your opportunity to get your hands on some rare species, established divisions of our awarded clones and hand-picked plants of our own hybrids with 'do-not-sell labels.  

Excited to find out more; this is how it will work:  

The collection on auction will be available to view on our website every preceding Saturday evening. You will only be able to view the collection until it officially opens. You can join our Afri Orchids Auction Whatsapp Group by scanning the QR code on the Auction Widget on our home page or click here for an invite link.  We'll post photos of the week's available collection and a link to the auction.  

The auction will go live on Monday at 20:00.  Plants will become available consecutively and every plant will be available for a limited time and bidding will end TWO minutes apart.  A time checker will let you know if bidding is about to end.  No pop-corn bidding will be available at this time.

You need to sign in to our website (or create an account should you not have one yet) to be able to place a bid.  You will be able to see your bidding status for each plant on the auction page and can also set auto-bidding parameters.  If you are the highest bidder, you will receive an email confirmation as well as a link for payment.  

Please ensure that all invoices are paid by 10:00 on the Tuesday following the auction.  Any unpaid plants will be forfeited and auctioned again the following week and we reserve the right to block any defaulting bidders at future auctions.  

Shipping fees will be added to the final invoice and plants will be shipped on that Tuesday.  A tracking number will be emailed to you.

You can also opt to combine the purchase with an order from our website and courier fees will then be calculated on the total order.  We can also keep the plant(s) for you until you are ready to receive them.  Alternatively you can also collect from our nursery - please just arrange a date and time in advance.

Remember the auction will ONLY be available ONLINE!  We won't accept any bids or requests received through SMS, Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, email, phone messages or any other method whatsoever.  You have to bids online on our website when the auction is live.

We can only ship these plants to addresses in South Africa.
